I’m Angelica Kapitonova, founder of NomadicaLux, an Australia-based boutique travel advisory practice specialising in meaningful, personalised journeys with cultural depth and a spirit of exploration. My approach begins with the person, rather than simply the destination. I incorporate principles of travel coaching into the way I work, beginning with a deeper discovery process to understand not only where you might want to go, but why you want to travel — your interests, motivations, aspirations, curiosities, preferred pace and what you hope to experience, learn or discover through your journey. I then bring that understanding into the actual design of your trip. As a qualified travel adviser, I can take your journey from an initial idea through detailed research and itinerary design to professional arrangements and bookings — including carefully selected accommodation and experiences, tours, cruises and expeditions, transfers and flights, depending on the journey. But for me, the relationship does not end once the itinerary is booked, or even when you return home. I remain personally involved before and throughout your travels, and afterwards we can reflect on the experience — what resonated with you, what surprised or challenged you, what you discovered and how those insights might shape the way you travel in the future. This is why I see travel advisory as a relationship rather than a transaction. By getting to know my clients over time, I can design future journeys with an increasingly nuanced understanding of who they are, what matters to them and what they are curious to explore next. I specialise in tailor-made luxury travel, cultural and history-rich journeys, expedition travel, small-ship and river cruising, and highly individual journeys shaped around a traveller’s particular interests and aspirations. I am equally open to destinations and experiences that may not be the obvious first choice. If understanding you and what you want from the journey leads us somewhere unexpected, I am interested in exploring that possibility rather than beginning with a predetermined destination or conventional itinerary. The initial Travel Discovery Consultation offered here is a standalone conversation in which we explore what you are looking for, what is motivating your travel and what you would like the experience to give you. It is also an opportunity for me to explain how I work and for us both to determine whether my approach is right for you. The consultation itself does not include itinerary research, design, quotations or travel bookings. If you decide to continue with me, I will explain my professional Journey Design service and the applicable planning fee before any work begins.
